Mrs. Ford's We ❤️Art and 8th Grade classes visited the ACHE Research Institute Health and Wellness Center today! Students created a snail pottery planter, made a delicious lunch, and planted herbs and greens in a vertical tower garden. It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning!

REMINDER: Athletic Physicals for the 2024-25 school year will be given on Thursday, May 9, 2024 in the lobby of the New Gym. The cost is $10. JOM students’ fees will be covered and billed to the Howe JOM program. Physical forms will be sent home today. All student entering the 5th grade - 12th grades are required to have a current physical to participate. #HPSLions

Our 5th grade classes had a blast at the 3rd Annual Youth Fishing Clinic & Natural Resource Day at Tywman Park yesterday. Each student received their own rod & reel. Thank you to the OSU Extension Office, Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation, OHP, Blue Thumb, Oklahoma AgCredit, and the City of Poteau for hosting.

The Howe Johnson O'Malley program is hosting a Native American Cultural Day on Thursday, May 2 at The Warehouse. Parents of our JOM students are invited to attend. JOM students in grades PK-12th will participate in crafts, dance, Choctaw Language, and a weapons exhibit. Here is the schedule: 9 am - 10:15 am - Session 1 - PK- 2nd 10:20 am - 11:35 am - Session 2 - 3rd-4th 11:40 am - 12:55 pm - Session 3 - 6th-8th and 5th grade 1 pm - 2:15 pm Session 4 - 9th-12th #HPSLions

Due to the direct threat of the issued Tornado Warning on the community of Howe, the tornado shelter at Howe school will be open.
