Public Notice: Intent to Apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant

Howe Public Schools is pleased to announce our intent to apply for funding through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grant Program for the 2025–2026 school year.

This federal grant program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly those who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program also offers families educational development and engagement opportunities.

We are currently in the planning phase of developing a high-quality afterschool and summer program designed to support students in grades 4–12. The program will include academic tutoring, STEM activities, digital safety and literacy, drug and violence prevention, enrichment experiences, and meaningful family engagement.

As part of our commitment to transparency and community collaboration, we welcome input and partnership from families, local organizations, and stakeholders. If you would like to provide feedback or learn more about the program, please contact Scott Parks, sparks@howeschools.org.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping us create safe, enriching, and engaging afterschool opportunities for our school community.
