The Officer will be assigned to work full-time within the Howe Public School District during the school year and provide law enforcement services to the school with an emphasis in providing a safe environment for students, faculty, and the community.
The District desires to maintain a partnership with the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department based on previous SRO programs at Howe Public Schools. Candidates must meet officer requirements set by the LeFlore Co. Sheriff's Dept. and CLEET.

Big 8 Conference Tournament (NSU-Tahlequah) August 10-11. The Lady Lions will play the following schedule of games. August 10 vs. Central (4:00 PM), vs. Westville (6:00 PM). August 11 vs. Keys (10:00 AM), vs. Vian (12:00 PM). #HPSLions
The first day of class for KTC - Poteau, day-time programs is Wednesday, August 9th. All students pre-enrolled for Automotive Service Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Computer Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Electrical Technology, Health Careers Education, HVAC, Practical Nursing, and Welding Technology are required to start on this date.
The Howe AM KTC bus/van/suburban will leave Howe at 7:55 am in front of HS, pick-up at 11 am at KTC, returning to Howe around 11:10 am. The Howe PM KTC bus/van/suburban will leave 12:15 pm in front of HS, pickup at 3:15 pm at KTC, returning to Howe around 3:30 pm. #HPSLions

Parents who do not have a PowerSchool parent account for enrollment can pick-up their account creation letter at your child's school office starting on Friday, Aug 4. For parents who are unable to login to their account due to unknown username or password, an onsite help session will be available during the Back To School Open House on Tuesday, Aug 15 beginning at 5 pm. If you do not have access to a computer or cell phone, a paper copy of enrollment is available at both offices. If your student is a new transfer student to Howe Public Schools and have been accepted , you need to come to the office and fill out your transfer request form as soon as possible, if you have not done so already. All new students need to bring the following items to the offices also.
1. Child's birth certificate
2. Proof of immunizations
3. Copy of child's CDIB (if applicable)
4. Student legal name change and/or changes in parental custody if changes have occurred
5. Proof of residence if you live in the district

Parents: Thank you for beginning the process of enrolling your student with Howe Public Schools for the 2023-24 school year. Below are instructions to complete the enrollment process.
Reminder: This year online enrollment is through our PowerSchool Parent Portal. If your student finished the school year at Howe Public Schools last year, and you DO NOT have a PowerSchool Parent account, please complete this request form. https://bit.ly/howepshelp DO NOT CONTACT THE OFFICES, help requests will be processed through this help form only.
Step 1: Login to your PowerSchool parent account at http://powerschool.howeschools.org/public and follow Step 2 below.
If you have forgotten your Parent Portal PowerSchool login username and/or password, please choose the "Forgot Username or Password?" blue link at the bottom of the Student and Parent Sign In Portal at http://powerschool.howeschools.org/public and follow the onscreen instructions. Otherwise, request login help at https://bit.ly/howepshelp.
Step 2: Complete Enrollment forms
In the PowerSchool parent portal at https://powerschool.howeschools.org/public, select the student you are enrolling and click on the Forms link with the left navigation menu.
**Complete all ENROLLMENT forms A through I and Indian Ed Form by August 1, 2023**
Step 3: Provide Documentation
Additionally, once the online enrollment has been completed, please bring the following documentation to the Elementary or High School office BEFORE Aug 1 during the hours of 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday-Thursday:
1. Proof of Residency (NEW STUDENTS ONLY - more information can be found on the Student Demographics information form in enrollment)
2. Child's birth certificate (if not currently on file)
3. Proof of immunizations
