Mrs. Atkins 5th grade Science class recently explored hands-on STEM learning by creating clouds in a jar!
Students discovered how clouds form by observing evaporation and condensation in action. Using warm water and tiny particles in the air, they saw how water vapor cools and gathers around particles (called condensation nuclei) to form a cloud—just like what happens in Earth’s atmosphere.
Through this experiment, students practiced making predictions, observing changes, and using scientific vocabulary while modeling a real-world process from the water cycle.
Hands-on experiments like this help bring science to life and make learning memorable!

💕Once a Lion, Always a Lion 💕
Our Howe family is lifting up one of our own. Ginger is a former member of the Howe school family and will always be part of our Lion community.
She is the mother of our MS ELA teacher, Callie Brown, and the proud grandmother of our students Britlie and Cooper.
We invite our Howe community to come together in support, encouragement, and love during this time. Whether you are able to attend, contribute, or simply keep Ginger and her family in your thoughts and prayers, it all means so much.
Once a Lion, always a Lion. 🦁💛

Congratulations to
🔥 Kadynce Delt
🔥 Slatey Jo Free
🔥 Josey Peterson
on being named to the OGBCA Small East All State Team!
Being selected All State is one of the highest honors a high school athlete can receive. It means these young ladies have been recognized among the very best players in the entire state, not just for their talent on the court, but for their work ethic, leadership, and impact on the game.
This recognition reflects countless hours of practice, dedication, and heart. It represents how they compete, how they lead, and how they represent Howe with pride every single time they step on the floor.
We are so proud of these seniors and the legacy they leave behind for future Lady Lions. Your hard work has truly paid off!

Howe Public Schools will begin OSTP (state testing) for 3rd through 8th grade on April the 13th. It is always important that your child be at school, but between now and then it is especially important so that teachers have every opportunity to ensure that they get those last minute important skills covered and reviewed before testing begins. During testing, students need to be at school everyday if at all possible. It is extremely hard to schedule make-up tests when a student misses and the majority of students tend to do better when they test at the same time as their class and not at an alternate time.
We always want students to be encouraged to do their best and not be scared or overly nervous about taking the tests. It is their time to show what they know and put their best effort forward. Parents can play a big part in this by giving words of encouragement, having students at school, making sure they get a good night's sleep, being on time and early enough to eat breakfast if needed and showing your support for them and the teachers because they have all worked so hard this year.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office at (918) 658-3508

We are proud to celebrate Coach Chris Brown for being named an FCA All-State Coach!
Coach Brown serves as our Lady Lions Head Basketball Coach, Junior High Lady Lions Coach, Transportation Director, and Elementary Assistant Principal. His leadership, both on the court and across our campus, continues to make a lasting impact on our students and athletes.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a national organization that encourages coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and use sports as a platform to lead, serve, and inspire others. The FCA All-State recognition honors coaches who model those values through leadership, integrity, and their impact on student-athletes.
Coach Brown’s Bio:
Chris Brown, Howe High School
Sport Coached: Basketball
Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 3:14
“I have been in Church since I was old enough to remember. My personal walk with God began at a Church Camp in Rosebud, Arkansas some 40 years ago. Since that day I have done my level best to do what God wanted me to do. For the past 27 years I have been the Head Girls basketball coach at Howe where we use the idea and guiding principles of God first, family second, education third and then basketball. I regret decisions I make during games all of the time but not my idea of creating a God centered program.”
Role with FCA: I have been involved with FCA indirectly for 15–20 years.
Family:
Wife: Rachel
Adult Children: Britt Brown, Megan Carter, Gaven Brown
Coach Brown will be honored at FCA’s 52nd Annual All-State event later this month.
🎟️ Tickets are available at okfca.org
