Stop by the Poteau's Wheels-N-Deals Car, Bike & Craft show today, and check out of the Howe FFA Shop Truck! (Unfortunately there was not a shop truck category, but if there was, we know this student built truck would have won for sure!) If you are a Howe FFA student, come on out and hangout with the truck, and share your experiences with the build or how the truck promotes the Howe FFA goals and values!
“Not your grandpa’s FARM TRUCK anymore!” Over the past few years, the Howe FFA students have been learning how to apply their Ag Mechanic skills through a hands-on project truck! This 1959 Chevy truck was donated to the program by former Howe Middle School Teacher Paula Decker. It belonged to her late husband Ed. Howe Public Schools established their FFA program in 1950. In 1959 (the year model of this truck), 100% of all the boys in Howe HS were enrolled in Ag! Howe continues to have an-award winning FFA program, represented by both male and females students equally, and this truck build is just one example of the numerous creative and exemplary projects under the advisement and leadership of Mr. James Marshall. Howe Superintendent, Mr. Scott Parks has also been assisting with this class with the truck build. #HPSLions
