Great First Day Back at Howe Schools!
What an amazing first day of the 2025–2026 school year! It was so good to see our halls filled with smiling faces, excited students, and dedicated staff ready to make this year our best yet.
We know the heavy traffic during pickup and drop-off was a challenge today, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation. As we settle into the routine, we expect things to move smoother each day. Your understanding and teamwork make all the difference.

Welcome to Howe Public Schools!
We’re excited to welcome Belinda Westfall. With 35 years of experience as an ELA teacher, school counselor, and most recently a college and career advisor, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for helping students take their next steps after graduation.
She looks forward to carrying on the strong program built by Mrs. Cindy Mitchell, guiding students through the sometimes overwhelming process of planning for college, career training, and life after high school.
Having many friends and family who work at Howe, she’s thrilled to join a school community that truly feels like home. Outside of school, she enjoys working in the garden, relaxing on the front porch with friends, spending time with her kids and grandkids, taking road trips to literary and historical sites, and camping near the water.
