Meet the Howe Foreign Exchange Students - Isabel Kollen Isabel is from Hengelo, Netherlands. She likes to ride horses. She also likes to shop, make new friends, play piano, and travel. She hopes to make new friends and experiences in America. She loves Vocal Music. Her mentor student is Emily Kellogg. She wants to go to college and get a degree in medicine. Her host family is the Sanders. #HPSLions

Meet the Howe Foreign Exchange Students - Martina Berti Martina resides in Pesaro, Italy. She likes playing volleyball and listening to music. She hopes to keep in touch with her friends here. She likes her German class. Her mentor student is MiKia Prier. She wants to find a travelling job after school and visit Oklahoma again. Her host family is Summer and Michael Campbell. #HPSLions

Meet the Howe Foreign Exchange Students - Naomi Rothstein Naomi is from Stockholm, Sweden. She likes to hang out with friends and go horseback riding. She wants to improve her English and keep her friends she makes here. She likes her Algebra and Facs classes. Her mentor student is Hailee Morrison. She wants to be a lawyer. She is staying with Carla Cox.

Next foreign exchange student on the list is Kristine Larsen. Kristine comes from Copenhagen, Denmark. She is interested in gymnastics and music. She likes her Vocal Music class. Tambrah Hewitt is her mentor student. She wants to be a psychologist in the future. She is staying with the Wilbourns. #HPSLions

Now we are going to talk about Rene Arpas. Rene is from Nitra, Slovakia. He likes to play sports and he wants to learn better English. He likes the Athletics class. His mentor student is Timothy Wallis. Rene is staying with Dale and Leah Wilson. He wants to go to college in the USA and then go to the NBA. He has been to a number of countries including Egypt, Italy, and Greece.

"WE ARE GOING!" Hey Howe K-12th grade students . . . Join Mrs. Parks' Computer Science students and enter the NASA Langley Student Art Contest! NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia is inviting students grades K-12 to creatively visualize NASA’s science, technology and human exploration activities in the 2020 NASA Art Contest, using the theme “We Are Going.” The contest is open to all children grades K-12. The Art Contest submission period begins  Dec. 1, 2019  and concludes on  Dec. 31, 2019 at midnight EST. Now we are moving onto Thea Bengtsson. Thea is from Kristianstad, Sweden. She does olympic weightlifting and she likes to work out and play volleyball. She is interested in psychology. She is baffled that Americans have to have a car. She hopes to become an independent individual. She loves Vocal Music. Her mentor student is Harley Calhoun. She plans to go back to Sweden and major in psychology. Her host family is Chris and Brandie Lovell.

For the next week, we will be featuring our high school foreign exchange students in a "meet the student" feature. Up first is Ricky Bellotti from Italy. Ricky comes from Mariano Comense, Italy. He likes to play basketball and listen to music. He wants to learn better English and make more friends. He likes his Athletics class. His mentor student is Timothy Wallis. Ricky wants to be happy in the future. He is also staying with Dale and Leah Wilson. He has been to Spain, Switzerland, and France. #HPSLions

ATTENTION SENIORS!: Senior Tux and Drapes Pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in the basketball gym lobby. Please see the schedule outside Mrs. Donathan's classroom. A $20 sitting fee will be due on Wednesday before you may take pictures.
