Petting Zoo day was an absolute success. We celebrated the first day of National FFA Week by hosting a fun day of farm animals for our Daycare through 1st grade programs. We also made a few surprised visits to the high school as well. We had many different species of livestock that were brought by our 4-H and FFA students.
A big thank you to our staff, Howe Public Schools, and our wonderful 4-H and FFA members who were able to make this possible.

Big Announcement! Unfortunately due to weather school has been moved to virtual days. But Blue & Gold/DJ’s fundraiser money is still planned to be due Feb 21st (Friday). Please contact Mr. Lott or a FFA member. This is your last chance.

Due to the Winter Weather Advisory, Howe Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 18-19, 2025. During this time, we will transition to virtual learning for all students. For some grade levels, packets may also be sent home as an option for completing assignments offline. Please check communication from your child’s teacher for additional clarification on virtual work.
Stay safe and warm, and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We are closely monitoring the forecast as our area is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 AM on Tuesday, 2/18, to 6 AM on Wednesday, 2/19. There is potential for wintry precipitation, which could impact road conditions in our area.
At this time, no changes to the school schedule have been made. We will continue to track updates and will notify families if any schedule adjustments are necessary.
Check back for updates as the situation develops!

The state archery meets for junior high and high school have been cancelled this week due to impending weather. Coach Sockey is awaiting rescheduling information and we will make an announcement as soon as we gather new details.
Our Lions and Lady Lions dominated the district-level playoff games and are advancing to regional play to be held at Wilburton High School's gym. The current schedule for Thursday, February 20, is for the girls to play at 6:00 PM and the boys at 7:30 PM (inclement weather could alter the schedule, so please watch for updates over the next few days). As with district play, you can pre-order tickets using GoFan for $8.35 or pay $10 cash at the door. Find attached a QR code and instructions for tickets. As we head into the home stretch of basketball playoffs and begin the journey into spring sports, it is a good time for students, families, and the community to reflect on how best to support our students and represent our school. It is highly encouraged to keep in mind we are here to support our students. Hostility and taunting toward the students or fans from another school does not fit in our intent with extracurriculars. Here are only a few of the many reasons to consider. First, students will follow the lead of adults. Let us be sure and set a positive tone for our students to succeed by focusing on the task at hand instead of the opposition and by maintaining positive attitudes. In addition, extracurriculars are an opportunity to be ambassadors of our school and community. Let's give the best versions of ourselves. There could also be a lot at stake for students. We are blessed with incredibly talented and hard-working students. There are college scouts watching our students from time to time. We want to give the very best representation of what our students can do instead of distracting them or the scouts by enveloping contests with negativity. We all want the best for our students, so let's make sure we put them in a position for their greatest success! Thank you for your time and consideration.
GO LIONS!
