8th Grade Valedictorian is Brody Bryant. Brody is the son of Scott and Kim Bryant. He enjoys playing music and plans to attend college after high school in hopes of earning a bachelor’s degree in music.
8th Grade Salutatorian is Ryon Janway. Ryon is the son of Teddy and Hillary Janway. He enjoys playing video games and plans on furthering his education after high school.
8th Grade Historian is Kobi Krebbs. Kobi is the daughter of Jeremy and Rachel Krebbs. She enjoys playing sports and being involved in church. She looks forward to high school sports and where God takes her in her life.

Schedule update: JH baseball county moved to Friday due to weather. #HPSLions
State testing will start on Tuesday, April 16th for 3rd grade and then 4th through 8th grade will begin on the 18th. These tests will continue through May 2nd for some of these grades. It is very important that your child be at school during these times, otherwise they will have to make the test up before school is dismissed for the summer. Try not to stress your student out about these tests, instead be their encourager and tell them it is their opportunity to shine and show how much they have learned and grown over this school year. Dear Howe Parents/Guardians,
As you're likely aware, an exciting event is on the horizon - a total solar eclipse! On Monday, April 8, the skies will showcase this stunning celestial display.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all students during this event, learning will be virtual on that day. This means no in-person classes on campus - just a day of learning and eclipse excitement from home! All virtual assignments will focus on the eclipse. Have your students check their SeeSaw (K-2nd) and Google Classrooms (3rd+) for their assignments.
Thanks to the generosity of the District 9 SE OK County Health Department and the LeFlore County Health Department, every Howe student will receive a complimentary pair of solar eclipse glasses. These glasses are essential for safely viewing the eclipse, and will be sent home on Wednesday or Thursday of this week.

The town of Howe will be conducting a tornado siren test on Thursday, April 4 at Noon. They will start testing the sirens on the first Thursday of every month. #HPSLions
