Due to ice and snow covering the campus, Howe Public Schools will remain virtual learning on Monday, January 13. Although the weather itself is not a concern, conditions on campus—including sidewalks, parking lots, and other surfaces—remain unsafe. Many back roads leading to the school are also icy, raising additional safety concerns for those commuting. Overnight lows in the 20s are expected to refreeze any melting snow, further worsening conditions.
We are committed to ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and families. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the Winter Storm Watch, Howe Public Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday, January 9-10, 2025. During this time, we will transition to virtual learning for all students. For some grade levels, packets may also be sent home as an option for completing assignments offline. Please check communication from your child’s teacher for additional clarification on virtual work.
Additionally, Howe’s participation in the Archery Tournament scheduled for Friday has been postponed. Coach Sockey will communicate directly with his teams regarding the rescheduling of this event.
