Mr. Warren is a lifelong resident of LeFlore County and a proud 1989 graduate of LeFlore High School. With 30 years of experience in public education—including roles as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent—he brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for student success to our school community.
“Being a principal allows me to make a positive impact on education while still staying connected with students every day,” Mr. Warren shared. “I’m honored to join a team of educators who truly want to make a difference in students’ lives and their futures.”
He currently lives in the Wister area and is looking forward to connecting with Howe families and supporting students in every aspect of their educational journey. Outside of school, Mr. Warren enjoys spending time with his family and new granddaughter, along with hunting, fishing, and attending sporting events.
We’re thankful to have his leadership at Howe and can’t wait to see the positive impact he’ll make!

As surrounding districts begin to launch virtual learning options, Howe Public Schools stands proudly as a pioneer in the field—having built a thriving blended and virtual program for high school students over the past 12 years.
Launched in 2013 as a small pilot with just 16 students, Howe’s program has steadily grown in both size and impact. What began as a supplemental part-time virtual program is now a robust, fully developed system that offers over 345 online courses. To date, more than 647 students have successfully completed virtual coursework through the program.
“We saw early on how virtual and blended learning could support different student needs and provide real flexibility,” said Superintendent Scott Parks. “The goal was never to replace teachers or classrooms, but to expand opportunities. And it’s working.”
Growth Through Innovation
The program received a major boost in 2020 thanks to the Focused EDGE Innovation Programs Grant, which allowed the district to roll out a full-time blended/virtual option for students in grades 9–12.
In 2023-24, 67 students utilized the on-campus Blended Flex Lab, and 39 students were enrolled in the Blended/Virtual program for the 2024–25 school year. Students have the option to complete coursework at home or at school, with continued access to in-person classes, hands-on support, and extracurriculars.
Parent statement: “We chose the virtual program because our child needed flexibility—and found so much more. The level of support, communication, and academic quality has been outstanding.”
A Launchpad for Life
The flexibility of the program has opened doors for concurrent enrollment and real-world experience. Sixty-six students have been able to participate in internships or college coursework while still attending high school. The internship program alone has grown from 5 participants in 2017 to 77 students in 2024–2025.
Parent statement: “The internship program has been incredible for our son. He’s earning high school credit while gaining experience in a field he’s passionate about. It’s real-world learning, not just theory.”
