Under his leadership, the program has earned 7 State Final appearances, 3 Runner-Up finishes, and 4 State Championships, creating a legacy built on dedication, heart, and excellence.

We have some fresh information regarding the rescheduled state archery meet held at Cameron this Wednesday, the 5th, from Coach Sockey (the original meet was cancelled in Tulsa due to winter weather). The junior high competes at 9 AM. They will leave at 8:10 and return around 12. The high school competes at 4:30. They will leave around 3 and should return at or shortly after 6. We look forward to seeing individual and team excellence! Go Howe Archery! #howearchery #howelions
Attention Parents: Calendar update… The first round of the Class 2A State Basketball Tournament game for the Howe Lady Lions is set for Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 PM in OKC. To accommodate travel for staff, parents, and students, school will be dismissed early at 2 PM on Thursday, and there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 7.
Friday will be a no-school day to accommodate the team advancing in the tournament or, regardless of Thursday night’s outcome, to allow everyone attending the late game time to travel back safely on Friday.

As we are thrilled to support our athletes at state this week, there are some guidelines we need to be sure to observe while attending the showdown at the Big House. These are from the state and could lead to penalties including, but not limited to ejection and barring from attendance. Let's go crazy for the Lady Lions, but be mindful how we do it so we don't distract from the business at hand.
From the guidance letter from the OSSAA;
6. STUDENT BODIES THAT WISH TO SIT TOGETHER ON THE FAIRGROUNDS AREA FLOOR MUST BE THE SIDE THAT IS
ASSIGNED TO THEIR TEAMS. THEY CANNOT BE IN THE END SEATS OR ON THE OPPOSING TEAM’S SIDE. THERE IS
NO STANDING ON THE RAILS OR THE CHAIRS AND THEY CANNOT BE STANDING DIRECTLY BEHIND THE
OPPOSING TEAM’S BENCH. THE DESIGNATED HOME SIDE IS BEHIND THE SCORE TABLE AND TEAM BENCHES AND
THE DESIGNATED VISITOR’S SIDE IS OPPOSITE THE TEAM BENCHES.
7. NO BANDS OF ANY SIZE OR NATURE, NO NOISE MAKERS, NO CONFETTI, NO BANNERS, NO EMBLEMS OR
PLACARDS, NO SIGNS, NO THUNDERSTICKS, NO BALLOONS, NO LASER LIGHTS, NO MEGAPHONES, NO FOAM
FINGERS, NO FATHEADS, NO FLAGS OR OTHER ITEMS THAT MAY BE A DISTRACTION TO THE PARTICIPANTS IN
THE GAME OR TO THE OTHER FANS ARE ALLOWED.
8. THERE IS A CLEAR BAG POLICY THIS AT THE STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. GUIDELINES CAN BE FOUND ON
