We’d like to give our PK-12th Math and our Special Education teachers a big shout-out for completing a 30 hour Curriculum Alignment and Mapping Institute at Howe Public Schools over the past five days! Our PK-12th English Language Arts teachers also completed two days of the training. We’d like to thank Kim Collier with Collier Education Consulting for leading our teachers through a wonderful week of learning, collaboration and planning for the 2022-23 school year! There is never enough time in the school year for teacher collaboration, and our staff benefited greatly by this week of planning together! #HPSLions

Howe FFA 2021-22 Just In Cased You Missed It . . . Howe FFA has spent the 2021-2022 school year hard at work participating, competing, and even hosting many activities and community service events. These activities have built the individual skills, confidence, and leadership skills the FFA members in turn take into their day to day lives and advance the core values of the FFA organization to the surrounding community and beyond. Howe FFA members advanced to the State level through qualifications in Opening/Closing Ceremonies Greenhand CDE, FFA Sporting Clays, Prepared Public Speaking, and Agriscience Fair. Four members advanced to Area in prepared public speaking, winning their category at the Regional level, and one of which placing 3rd at Area in the Spring, and one winning the Area AFR speech contest taking 4th at the state level. Multiple community service projects throughout the year gave students an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported them. The chapter also hosted the Poteau Region Legislative dinner, Oklahoma State FFA Officer Goodwill tour, Howe Invitational Speech Contest, Howe FFA/ 4-H ABGA Show, as well as multiple campus wide FFA Week activities and motivational speaker Brandon Baumgarten during FFA Week. While these are not all of the accomplishments of Howe FFA members throughout the year, it does offer a highlight of their accomplishments and to what is to come.
