Thanks to the generous donations of Howe students and staff, the National Honor Society was able to ship 32 boxes of Christmas goodies to children around the world! #HPSlions

Native American Heritage Month: On Nov. 16, the Howe JOM program welcomed the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Youth Stickball League, Yvnnvsh Homma for a game demonstration for our MS and HS students. Four of the youth players are students at Howe Public Schools: Micah Davidson, 10th; Abigail Miller, 10th; Adrian Moreno, 11th; and Alexis Eagle, 6th. The Yvnnvsh Homma youth league spans ages 8-17 and participates in events year round, with a competitive season from mid-February though mid-April. We would like to thank their Coach, Dewayne Hornbuckle and his team for taking time to share more about stickball and the Choctaw culture with our students! Congratulation to both the Howe Lady Lions and Lions basketball teams for opening the season on a high note. Lady Lions defeated Smithville 86-37 and the Lions defeated Smithville 78-36. #HHSLions

PK through 8th grade is competing in an attendance challenge. It started last week and will continue over the two weeks after Thanksgiving break. There are 3 divisions: PK - 1st, 2nd - 5th and 6th - 8th. Winning class in each division will receive a pizza and ice cream party the week before Christmas break.
