(Messaged on ParentSquare) Local tree trimmers had limbs fall on power lines on Bean Patch Loop Road. Due to the power outage, we are going to release at 1 pm & run busses. Parents will also be notified through School Messenger shortly once PowerSchool is back up (with a generator.) Just a reminder, phone lines are down. Please communicate with your child's teacher using ParentSquare as needed.

Howe Public Schools just lost power throughout the entire campus. We are reporting the outage to OG&E, and will keep you informed of any alterations to today's schedule if a change should be warranted. Just an FYI to parents, if the power remains out for an extended period of time, our phone system may be affected. Please feel free to communicate with your child's teacher through ParentSquare if needed.

We’re excited to kick off our K–8 Reading Challenge as part of our Literacy Grant family engagement activities!

Each student will use a reading log to track the books and minutes they read at home throughout the entire month of October. Parents/guardians should initial the log daily, and completed logs should be returned to teachers at the end of the month.

🍕 Prizes: The grade group with the most total minutes read will win a PIZZA PARTY!
• Kindergarten–2nd Grade
• 3rd–5th Grade
• 6th–8th Grade

📝 Reading logs were handed out during Parent/Teacher Conferences.
If you need a copy, you can:
1. Print from this link: https://5il.co/3qll1
2. Ask your child’s teacher for a copy

Let’s make October a month full of reading, family time, and fun competition. Happy reading to all!
