Math is sweeter in 2nd grade! Today, Mrs. Hildebrant’s class combined hands-on learning with a little fun by using Skittles to create bar graphs. Students sorted their candy by color, counted each group, and recorded their data before building their own bar graphs to represent their results. Along the way, they strengthened important math skills like: ✔️ Sorting and categorizing ✔️ Counting and comparing quantities ✔️ Representing data visually ✔️ Analyzing which group had the most and least Activities like this help make math concepts meaningful, engaging, and memorable. When students can see, touch, and build their learning, it truly sticks. Great job, 2nd grade!
