Here's a list of the Pumpkin Decorating Contest winners in the National Honor Society Happy Howe-lloween Pumpkin Palooza! A total of 75 very creative entires made the judging extremely difficult, but the judges narrowed it down to their top three choices for each division. This year's Howe-lloween Pumpkin Decorating Contest was again sponsored by the National Honor Society. Out of the 75 creative entries, 13 were chosen as winners. Brooke Carter, Kyla Orr, Levi Smith, and Presley McBride were among the winners. Brooke Carter took first place in the PreK-2nd grade division, and Kyla Orr came in second. In the 3rd-5th grade division Levi Smith won 2nd place and Presley McBride won 3rd place. #HPSLions

We are hearing that Mr. Parks' RED ZONE Challenge is gaining ground! We are super excited to see his hair painted red for Friday's basketball games, BUT we are even more excited about seeing 100+ students in the RED ZONE student section for Thursday's season opener at home vs Cameron! Save The Date (location update): October 28, 2021 The Carnival will be from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. Due to rain, all activities have been moved inside, the Carnival will be held in the new gym, bingo in the cafeteria and the coronation will be in the auditorium following the schedule below. Activities include inflatables, numerous games, concessions, cake walk, etc. We invite EVERYONE to come out and enjoy the fun indoors! The Coronation has been moved to the Auditorium, the updated schedule is listed below. The auditorium will be cleared between sessions and reserved seating has been established for families of candidates. 3YO through 1st grade 5:15pm 2nd through 5th grade 6:00 pm 6th through 8th grade 6:45 pm The pictures for kings and queens will be Mrs. Sanford's 1st grade room. Middle School and High School students are invited to join the Red Zone basketball student section club! Students can sign-up on the list hanging outside Coach Womack’s classroom. A list will be posted for Middle School students outside Mrs. Nye’s classroom later this morning. Please list your t-shirt size if you’d like to order a t-shirt. Students will pay for the cost of the t-shirt once the order arrives. Thursday, Nov 4 is the first home HS basketball game. Mr. Parks has issued a challenge to the RED ZONE . . . if 100 MS/HS students attend and sit in the RED ZONE student section for Thursday night’s games, Mr. Parks has agreed to paint his hair RED for Friday’s home basketball game against Wright City! We would like to thank the Choctaw Nation for their generous sponsorship of our Red Ribbon Week speaker today! The funding was provided through a grant administered by the Choctaw Nation Behavioral Health Department. The grant is the Tribal Opioid Response 2 Grant and one of the populations served is youth. Our speaker today is Mr. Melvin Adams, a former member of the world-famous HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS. Location update: The Fall Carnival is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the UPPER PARKING LOT of the campus.
