Honoring All Who Served: The Howe Public Schools Veterans Day Parade will travel along the following route tomorrow, Nov. 11 beginning at 10:30 am from the New Gym. All Veterans and their +1 guest are invited to attend a luncheon in the new gym lobby immediately following the parade. We ask that you RSVP at 918.658.3368 at your earliest convenience.
Parade Route
Start at gym (If you'd like to drive in the parade, join us at the gym prior to 10:30 am)
1. go south through campus to Railroad Street,
2. go right/west on Railroad to the stop sign
3. turn left/south at the stop sign to Main Street
4. turning right/west on Main street to Choctaw,
5. turn left/south onto Choctaw to 1st Street,
6. turn left/east on 1st street back to Choctaw.
7. From Choctaw, travel back to the school ending parade at the gym for the veterans lunch.

Laura Harrison with Kiamichi Tech will be on campus on December 10th at 10:30 a.m. to talk with sophomores about Career Fest. The auditorium will be used for this presentation. Sophomores will also travel to Kiamichi Tech on January 10th from 9-11 a.m. for Career Fest.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Some National Honor Society members helped spread some holiday cheer yesterday on Historic Downtown Poteau Main Street!




Mr. Cagle being a good sport. Students that sold 50 or more carnival tickets for their class got to throw water balloons at him today.

Kobe Brown has been chosen as the Howe Intern of the Week. While working as a teacher’s assistant, Kobe helps Coach Greg Nichols with maintaining a successful basketball program at Howe Schools. When trying to decide future plans after high school, this Howe junior has a chosen path for a future career. Kobe is considering attending Carl Albert State College and Southeastern State University upon graduation. He also wants to obtain a Realtor License while attending college.

Oklahoma School Testing Program scores are being sent home with students in grades 4th through 9th grade today. Please read over the note that is attached to the scores.
Next Thursday, November 11th is Veteran's Day. We will be having a Veteran's Day parade and a luncheon to honor our those that have served afterward. We are asking that you please call either the elementary office at (918)658-3508 or the high school office at (918)658-3368 to let us know if you plan on attending and eating lunch with us. Look forward to seeing all our veterans.

November 17th, seniors will have CPR training in the cafeteria at 1:15 pm. This training is a graduation requirement, so make plans to attend. If you have received your CPR training elsewhere, (for example, I know that some KTC students receive CPR training through them), please bring documentation to the HS office. #HPSLions
