Thanks to everyone who participated in our 1st ever "Howe-lloween" Pumpkin Decorating Contest sponsored by the National Honor Society! We had 37 entries, and the students did a really great job showing their creative skills--it was hard for the judges to choose! Students should have received their prizes, and if they would like to pick up their pumpkins, they may come by The Warehouse after school today or any time tomorrow. The Howe Basketball Season is right around the corner! All scheduled games have been added to the school calendar linked on the school website. Any changes in schedule will be promptly shared on social media, the school's website and updated on the school calendar. Please review the following Gym Protocols as we prepare to launch the 2020-21 Basketball Season! https://5il.co/mj4a Howe Public Schools Gymnasium COVID-19 Protocols 2020-2021 The following protocols will be observed during the 2020-2021 school year for gym related activities at Howe Public School. Fan Procedures: ❖ Temperature checks and a brief wellness survey will be conducted prior to entering the building. ❖ Masks are required while entering the building or movement throughout the building (Going to concession, restroom, exiting etc…) ❖ Social Distancing is recommended, where appropriate. ❖ Be courteous and extend grace to other patrons utilizing the facility. Staff Procedures: ❖ Masks and gloves will be utilized by concession stand staff. Masks will be worn by gate workers. ❖ Coaches will be responsible for team player safety and adherence to Covid procedures for their team. ❖ Outside air will be run during events and blended with inside heat as necessary. #HPSLions

The Howe 9th Grade Lions and Lady Lions are scheduled to participate in the Stigler 9th Grade Festival on Nov 2, 3, and 5. (See attached schedule) #HPSLions

Attention Sophomores: The 10th grade class will take the PreACT on Wednesday morning, Oct. 28, but it is important to take note that Mrs. Wright will NOT Be PERMITTED to test any student who does not complete the Pre-ACT Non-Test Portion first. The Non-Test Portion will be given Monday morning (Oct. 26th during 2nd hour). Both the Non-Test Portion and the actual PreACT will be given at The Warehouse and virtual, blended, and distributed learners should physically attend. #HPSLions
