Many community-based organizations lack the capacity or resources to meet the needs of the growing population of hungry Americans. Food pantries and other charitable organizations also often run short on food that is age appropriate (e.g., low sodium for seniors), culturally appropriate and/or fresh. Tight economic times have only further
burdened these organizations.
This year the Varsity Cheerleaders will partner with NHS to help close the gap on hunger in this area. We would challenge Howe Schools to collect as many cans as possible November 9th through the 20th. This drive challenges our student body to give back to those in need in our community. All items collected will be donated to local food banks in this area.
THE CLASSES WHO COLLECT THE MOST CANS WILL WIN POPSICLES! THEY NEED A MINIMUM OF 20 CANS TO QUALIFY. WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT CANS THAT ARE NOT DENTED, HAVE LABELS, AND HAVE NOT EXPIRED.

Update on Wright City HS game (11/6 6 pm at Wright City) tickets: Each player will be given two tickets for Friday's ballgames; any unused tickets will be provided to our cheerleaders. Tickets must be presented upon entry to game. This ticketing process is isolated to Wright City's game only. #HPSLions
