Yesterday's snow cone fundraiser was a sweet success, benefiting our school's air rifle and archery programs. Students and staff came together to enjoy delicious snow cones while supporting these valuable extracurricular activities. Thanks to everyone's participation, the group raised significant funds that will help enhance the teams' training, equipment, and travels. Your support makes a difference—thank you for contributing to the success of our student-athletes!

Mrs. Cooper's Biology II class found a hidden world this morning as they magnified micro organisms found in pond water. Students were amazed, intrigued, and sometimes concerned by what was lurking in the water samples!

To continue our theme headed into the new year: The world is a jungle, but our students will be well prepared to face it! Some may be scared of the jungle, but we embrace it as opportunity. The Lions are the kings of the jungle, right?
Our staff has worked hard, and with the assistance of our students and their families, we are off to a smooth start of the year. We aren't afraid of what challenges lie ahead, because we are built differently!

Mrs. Coopers’ 10th-grade biology class created posters displaying 8 characteristics all living things must possess as an infographic. These posters were voted the top 3 from each class, with Stella Rorabaugh receiving the highest number of votes overall. She's seen here with her poster and prize.

If you are interested in joining the Howe Academic Team, see Mr. McMahan for more information. Practices will start next Tuesday, September 3, 2024, after school.
