Elementary and Middle School Parents: Just a reminder that school hours are from 8:00 till 3:20. Students in the upper elementary, who are not bus riders, need to be picked up at the East end of the building. That is the end closest to the big parking lot. Parents can wait in their cars and pull through the line or walk up and wait on the sidewalk for their child to be called to come out to meet them. Students need to stay in the building till dismissal. Please make every effort possible to keep students in class till the end of the day. If your child has an appointment and needs to leave early, please come to the office. It tends to get hectic at the end of the day, we are busy trying to make sure our students and teachers are notified of changes in transportation and would appreciate your help in keeping early checkouts to a minimum. Also, if there is a change in transportation for any elementary or middle school student, try to have those changes into the office by 2:00.

Laptop take-home will start later this week. The Choctaw Nation will be offering a Vaccine clinic for Covid-19 on Aug. 24th for Howe students. You must be 12 years old and older with parental consent. Forms will go home today and must be returned no later than Monday the 23rd. High school students can pick up a form in the office. All middle school students will be handed a form. #HPSLions

Attention KTC and Concurrent Enrollment Students: CASC classes begin Aug. 11. Please check-out your laptop from Mrs. Parks on Aug. 11. The Concurrent Enrollment Classroom has moved to the Tech Bldg Room #4. KTC classes also begin on Aug 11. The morning KTC bus leaves campus at 7:50 am. The afternoon bus leaves at 12:45 pm. Attention Howe JOM Students: Educational Supply Cards, 2020-21 Academic Incentives and Choctaw STAR Fall Semester incentives will be available for pickup tomorrow after 1 pm in the HS and Elem offices. To qualify for the Educational Supply cards, students must be verified by the Choctaw Nation JOM Program. Verification documents include CDIB card and student birth certificate if the CDIB card is not in their name. Attention Parents: Due to increasing positive cases of COVID-19 in our area and school community, we have scaled back the "Back To School Open House" night scheduled for Tuesday, Aug 10 from 5-8 pm to invitation only as follows: All students in transitional grades (PK, Kdg, 2nd, 6th, and 9th) AND all new students are invited to attend with a parent/guardian. For all other students, our teachers will provide a video welcome message posted to their YouTube channel, and/or an option to join a Zoom classroom session during a scheduled time on August 10 between 5-8 pm. Your students' teachers will be in touch! Before HS clubs and organizations launch, we will also provide an opportunity to get an in-depth look at all the great programs Howe HS has to offer!
