We are giving the ASVAB test on September 23rd. This is offered to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Also, if you have taken the ASVAB in the past and would like to improve your score, you are welcome to take it again. This Wednesday the 21st, 50 Shades of Sweet will be on campus during the lunch hours. Students will be able to purchase snow cones during this time. Costs are $3.00 for a small and $5.00 for a large.
**If students purchased a HOWE LIONS souvenir cup during the last month's visit they may use the cup for a $3.00 refill. So be sure and bring your cup!

The JH baseball game with Battiest scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, 2022 has been canceled. The varsity game will be played at 4:00 pm at Battiest. #HHSLions

2022 FALL BASEBALL SENIOR NIGHT. The Senior Night Program will begin at approximately 6:00 pm Monday evening, September 19 following the varsity baseball game with LeFlore. #HHSLions

We had a lot of fun celebrating Dot Day with our kindergarten classes in the library! We joined author Peter Reynolds as he read The Dot, and our students experienced their own dots in augmented reality with the QuiverVision app! #InternationalDotDay #MakeYourMark





Attention Howe YAB/JOM students: The Choctaw Cultural Center has an upcoming concert on September 24 at 2 pm with Samantha Crain. If you are interested in attending (non-school related trip, transportation, etc. would not be provided by the school), please contact Mrs. Parks at tammygparks@howeschools.org. The Howe Lady Lions marched into the finals of the Leflore County Softball Tournament with a pair of victories over Spiro (10-4) and Whitesboro (5-4). The Lady Lions will play in the championship game Thursday, September 15 @ 8:00 pm vs. an opponent TBD #HHSLions

The JH fastpitch game scheduled with Red Oak Wednesday, September 14 has been cancelled at the request of Red Oak. #HHSLions

The annual Howe Fall Carnival will be on October 11, 2022 from 4:30 till 7:00 pm. Letters to parents and tickets for the King and Queen contest are being sent home today.

Driver Education Class FALL 2022 sign up sheet opens Sept 13 and closes Sept 24 at Noon. The class is limited to 15 students. Students must be enrolled at Howe High School and students cannot be in 8th grade going into 9th. Students must be at least 15 years old. Cost is $75.00. (JOM students may seek reimbursement once class has been completed.) Please see Jordan Thompson in the Admin office to sign up. Be sure to read the sign-up sheet before you enroll. Congratulations to the Howe FFA and 4-H Skillathon contestants placing in the top 5 in their divisions Farah Brem 1st, Jaylynn Wann, Ashlynn Thompson, and Rhilynn Young 2nd, Krystin Thompson 4th. Gracie Harris also placed 3rd with her goat at the Leflore County Fall Fair. #HPSLions

The Howe Lady Lions defeated Heavener in the first round of the Leflore County Tournament at the PARC last evening with a 7th inning rally that resulted in a final score of 7-6. The Lady Lions will be back in action against Spiro at 6:00 pm today at the PARC. #HHSLions
