Representatives from Arvest Bank, Shawn and Emily were on campus today to present a $500 "Arvest Loves Teachers" classroom award to Howe Public Schools' Music Teacher Mrs. Rebekah McAllister. Mrs. McAllister plans on using the funds to purchase a set of ukuleles for her classroom . Thank you Arvest for partnering with Howe Public Schools and supporting teachers! #HPSLions

To conclude their study of the problem solving process and the input/output/store/process model of a computer, students in Mrs. Parks' Computer Science I class proposed an app designed to solve a real world problem. The students created posters highlighting the features of their teams' apps and presented to their classmates. Amazing work! The students will begin programming in HTML for web development next week, followed by JavaScript later in the semester for interactive animations and games development. #HPSLions #CS4All


Congratulations Rebekah McAllister! She was chosen as the Arvest's We Love Teachers campaign winner for Howe Public Schools! Mrs. McAllister will be presented with a gift of $500 funded by Arvest Bank for her request to purchase ten additional ukuleles for her high school & elementary music programs!
Arvest Bank is hosting their seventh annual We Love Teachers campaign this year and Howe Public Schools was chosen as one of their partnering schools. The campaign is designed to recognize - and provide support to - teachers throughout the Arvest footprint. This year, Arvest is awarding 145 $500 gifts to individual teachers throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Fastpitch Senior Night begins at 4:20 pm today at Lady Lion Field. Game time with Panama has been moved to 5:00 pm. #HHSLions

Reminder - School starts at 8:00 and dismisses at 3:20 for 3 Year Olds through 12th grade. Students are busy learning and teachers are busy teaching till the end of the day. Please try to keep early pick-ups to a minimum if at all possible. We appreciate your cooperation.
